CERTIFIED POOL OPERATORS TRAINING COURSE (CPO®)

Private and public facility operators, aquatic managers, supervisors, facility and property managers, and pool service companies.

This course goes beyond the traditional CPO® course training. Preventative maintenance procedures, tips and solutions to common problems are included throughout the course to help you keep your facilities operating with as little down time as possible with the safest environment in mind.  

Mechanical Room - pumps, filters, and heaters 

Pool and Spa Chemistry - basic chemistry, chemical costs, types, and effects,

          manual and automated control, water balance, water testing, and test kits

Facility Maintenance and Operation - automation, maintenance, and troubleshooting

Codes and Regulations - national, state, and local

Chemical Safety - personal considerations and emergency procedures

Energy Considerations - reduction in costs, blankets and heaters 

 Field Experience, Troubleshooting and Technological Advances

Steve Dunn has over 35 years of experience with pools and spas. Steve has a degree in Business Administration. He has a facility management background with YMCA experience. Steve has held a CPO® certificate for over 30 years. He is currently the President for Commercial Pool Systems, Inc., a company which provides commercial pool and spa equipment, chemicals, water quality, training, energy audits, facility audits, consulting, and service. Through his field and management experience Steve will bring practical field experience in addition to technological knowledge.  He provides lectures and has authored articles on many topics. Steve is a leading expert on Anti-Entrapment, the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act, ADA, Ultraviolet (UV), Ozone Systems, and Chemical Control Systems.
